My Opinion

When I watched this movie early february, I left the theater in tears to realize that our legal system is so unjust and to see that there are steps that can be taken to make sure these mistakes do not happen.

I am a criminal justice major, and for my field course I chose to do a research paper on DNA exonerations.  Of the 4 years I have been studyng criminal justice, this topic had never come up in any of my classes.  It took me by surprise when I saw this movie, and I developed an interest on the issue.  After months of research, I feel for all innocent men/women who are serving sentences or have been exonerated.  It is a tough life for them and our justice system needs to be re-evaluated.

I also recommend the book "Surviving Justice: America's wrongfully convicted and exonerated", this are compiled stories of many men who have lived through this experience and how they are coping as well as what they are doing to change the system.  This book will have you in tears.
